Flavors of Fall

By Emily Rigney/Staff Writer

Autumn is right around the corner, which means pumpkin spice, maple, and other fall flavors are coming out, including maple cheerios, pumpkin spice oatmeal, and even pumpkin spice Oreos. These are just a few of the food items that are limited edition to only the fall. Many people enjoy these flavors at this time of the year, and others don’t as much.

Some of the weirdest fall flavored foods  are associated with things you wouldn’t regularly eat with that flavor. Foods like pumpkin spice Twinkies, Peeps, Spam, Pringles, and butter are some of the few items that might be odd to many people. Usually these food items would not be seen with such peculiar flavors. Only during the fall season would these combinations arise. Overall, there are many weird foods with these flavors that people might enjoy trying!

Not only are the pumpkin spice flavors put into unusual foods, but also they can be put into enjoyable, tasty snacks. Maple Cheerios, coffees, M&M’s, and cookies are some treats around autumn time that people are more likely to discover and try. These snacks will more commonly be bought because they taste better overall. Most people don’t like to go out of their comfort zones to try some of the more uncommon foods, so these options are more “normal” and may taste better.

Near this season these flavors attract many people. All together, these foods can be enjoyed or not favored. Either way, it’s still a great way to introduce fall into the stores. By bringing these flavored foods out, people know it’s time to prepare for the fall season and enjoy the season to the fullest extent.
